Eugene C. Pyun

Welcome!

I am an Assistant Professor of Innovation Strategy at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. My research interests consist of innovation, technology strategy, technological ecosystems, and standardization in innovation-driven contexts. To be specific, I am interested in how standard based ecosystems and platforms encourage or disrupt firms' innovative activities. For example, my dissertation studeis how standardization can constrain firms' innovation in the context of Formula One motorsports industry.

 I received my PhD degree in Management Department at the University of Texas at Austin with concentration of Strategy. I completed my A.B. in Economics and Political Science with Degree Honors and General Honors at the University of Chicago and M.S in Management from the University of Texas at Austin and Seoul National University. Prior to my graduate studies, I worked at tax policy department of OECD Policy Centre.
